On March 6, selected underclassmen were invited to participate in the San Bernardino County School's Student Advisory Panel. Students all over the county spend 4 weeks presenting a problem in our county among youth, factors that cause the problem, and most importantly, their ideas for a positive solution. Topics such as youth mental health, school violence, and health care were covered. This is presented to elected officials from our schools' districts, along with cities, the county, and the state. National History Day BARC Out 🐾📣 Congratulations to Rebecca Gutierrez (10th) and Mariana Strong (10th) with their Group Exhibit on the consequences of Plastic Consumption. Danielle McIntosh (11th) and her Exhibit on the Montreal Protocol where she earned 1st Runner-Up. As well, Priti Garcia (11th) and Carlos Gutierrez (11th) Gonzalez with their Group Exhibit on California’s leadership in the Deinstitutionalization of Mental Hospitals earning County Champion and moving on to the state competition in Sacramento. #ItsAGreatDayToBeABulldog

Ms. Atkins's Biology students had to create a butterfly that camouflaged into its environment. If the butterfly was not found students received extra credit. Her students did a phenomenal job and made it difficult for the predators to find! #ItsAGreatDayToBeABulldog 🐾

Selected seniors were invited to Youth in Government Day 2024 this month. These seniors got to see how the City of Hesperia works in all departments and were presented with developing a project that will better Oak Hills H.S. They will present the project to the city at a March city council meeting and hopefully get it approved and funded! Thank you to Kailey Aranda, Destiny Bautista, Madison Brown, Crystal Garcia, Hayley Lazo, Kai Pond, and Isaiah Sharky for representing OHHS!
