In light of events on 4/23/24, we know students may need support--someone to talk to etc. We will have support through the duration of this week along with continued support through our Counseling Office. Today Oak Hills High School admin became aware of a student possibly in possession of a firearm. OHHS immediately worked with the HUSD School Police and the District Office to put the school on lockdown and apprehend the student. Law Enforcement and admin quickly located and arrested the student and recovered a loaded firearm on campus. After a short while OHHS admin received clearance from Law Enforcement to lift the lockdown. All students are safe and there were no injuries. The District cannot comment further on the investigation at this time as this is an open law enforcement investigation.

Hello Bulldogs and Bulldog Parents, this is Mr. Capps with an important message. Recently unidentified individuals have vandalized city property by spray painting threats against our school on several sidewalks in the community. The District Office, our School Police, and various other law enforcement agencies, and the administrative team at OHHS has been made aware. Law enforcement is actively investigating the vandalism and doing their best to make arrests as soon as possible, and they have informed us that there are no credible threats against Oak Hills High School at this time. However, out out of an abundance of caution, our school police will have an increased presence on campus today. As always our Oak Hills team will remain vigilant. Student, and staff safety as always is our priority and our district will continue to monitor the situation closely. I apologize for any concern the vandalism may have created. Hey bulldogs! Are you interested in a fun, outdoor activity for the whole family? If so, come join the Oak Hills High School Chick-fil-A Leader Academy for their second annual PL-A MOR pickleball tournament and 5k fun run on Saturday, April 27th. ‘Play for a Purpose’ or ‘Run for a Reason’ as all proceeds from the event will be used to support fellow Bulldogs in need.
