On Saturday, 3/7/20, 6 of our Bulldogs competed in the San Bernardino County National History Day competition at Upland HS. We brought home 4 medals, and 3 students are county champions advancing to state competition in May!
Junior Alyssa Melo earned 1st Runner Up for her website on Sonia Sotomayor.
Senior Karen Palma Garcia is a county champion with her exhibit on the Advances in Civil War medicine.
Senior Angel Moreno Rosales is a county champion for the 2nd year in a row — this time for his documentary on the Constitution - 229 years later.
Freshman Allison Rodriguez is county champion for her exhibit on Working Women of WWII.
Juniors Sergio Ramirez and Matthew Chavez also competed with impressive documentary projects on Cesar Chavez and Desmond Doss.
This is the 4th year OHHS students have competed in NHD, and our 3rd year in a row sending students onto the state competition in Sacramento. Go Bulldogs!
