High School Summer School
When: June 3rd – June 30th
Attendance is mandatory Mon-Thurs, Friday is voluntary open lab day. (Except Algebra 2)
Each student is assigned a two hour block. (Except Algebra 2, Drivers Ed and Music Appreciation)
Where: Oak Hills High School
Times: Block 1: 7:309:30, Block 2 9:30-11:30, Block 3 11:30-1:30
Deadline to turn in forms: March 28, 2014. However student’s will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MARCH 28!
Most course work will be completed online using Odyssey Ware, with the exception of Algebra 2, Music Appreciation and Drivers Ed.
Students have the opportunity to work at their own pace, however they must earn an average of 1 credit per day.
750 students who need credit recovery will be enrolled on June 3rd. Students will be notified by their school, the last week of the school year, if they are part of the first students enrolled.
Remaining student will be placed on a waiting list and called as spaces open up. We anticipate that ALL students will be able to participate in Summer School.
Only completed courses will be given credit. NO PARTIAL credit given.
First priority is for seniors who did not meet graduation requirements.
Second priority will be given to students who have failed a class or are in need of making up credits in order to graduate.
Third priority will be given to students who need a class to make up D’s for college purposes or to take a class to make room for another academic class in their schedule. Or students who want to get ahead.
Registration forms will be given out by the student’s counselors and MUST have parent, student and counselor signatures. It is your student’s responsibility to get a summer school registration form from their counselor before the deadline dates.
ABSOLUTELY NO STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ENROLL IN SUMMER SCHOOL AFTER March 28th !!!!!!!
